Food Bank

The food bank was established in Milton Keynes in 2004 and provides individuals and families with emergency food supplies through a network of referral agencies such as social services, C.A.B., probation services, etc. George's church became a serving centre in 2008 and is open for clients to collect food parcels between 9.30 and 11am on Saturdays. 50% of food bank clients stay around for the regular StG Saturday Breakfast offering hot food, friendship and fellowship.

The benefice has collection boxes for donated items in both churches and for the last two Christmases have provided, in association with the food bank Christmas hampers and presents for needy families in the community.  The food bank has become a very important part of the benefice’s ministry in the community.

Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter Project

The shelter provides accommodation and food for rough sleepers in MK following referral from YMCA, Police or MK Council.
